I look forward to hearing your thoughts on those.
craz3d asked a couple questions about DE's, I am thinking he might try it out in the near future. _________________ If it weren't for the gutter, my mind would be homeless.

bought some shave secret shave oil yesterday and although it smells really good, it sucks maybe if I use it in conjunction with the shaving soap it may work better but alone it is worthless owie owie owie |

I have been corking my Merkur SS blades with great results.
Got a really badass shave on the 1st, could not even feel any hair until 12 hours later. The next morning I still looked freshly shaven. _________________ If it weren't for the gutter, my mind would be homeless.

For the cream i havnt used true shaving lather, but tried all the sensitive gels and creams. Now im using the same stuff that my dad uses to shave his head. It is Headblade HeadSlick Moisture Shave Cream. It is about 10 bucks for a little bottle, but well worth it. It is mentholated so it makes you feel cool, and it does the best job ive found at softening the hair and getting the closes shave. I use the Gillet fussion power mixed with that cream and no more razr burn for me . Also, i found that using womens shaving gel seems to work a bit better. |

Yeah I pass a fresh blade, both sides, in both directions. All your looking to do is get the microscopic burrs off the blade to reduce irritation.
I don't know what it is but all the sharper blades have started pulling. The Merkur blades just give me that awesome cutting sound as they slide down whiskers without any pulling or irritation.
The sharper blades did serve a great purpose, they quickly point out flaws in my angle or pressure by giving you a nice cut. Other than that the shave is just better with the Merkurs. I Plan to place a bulk order the end of the month for 50 of them.
Tweezerman brush is still working well, but I am going to get a better lather bowl at the dollar store.
I am using a wooden one currently, the rough texture of the wood builds a quick lather. Bad news is it slowly soaks the moisture from the lather so I have to rework the lather for my 2nd & 3rd passes. I also think a ceramic bowl will hold the heat better.
Got my straights in....
They are not as sharp as they should be and scare me to death. Still debating WTF I am going to do with them. _________________ If it weren't for the gutter, my mind would be homeless.
