I have sensitive skin and seem to always end up with ingrown hairs and sensitive skin. I have tried various shaving gels and razors.
Off to the beautiful WWW. after a bit of research it seems that a DE (Double-Edge) razor like the ones used i the early 1900's is the way to go.

You can vary blade depth, use different brands of blades and control the angle of the blade against your face.

Looks like a learning curve is seen by most, but after you have the hang of it a result is the best shave with the least amount of irritation and knicks.
Since I am just starting out I got a basic razor that had decent reviews and it not considered a "Aggressive" razor that would require a more experienced user.

Seems that these guys that take shaving pretty seriously think most shaving creams are crap and that getting one of those neat little brushes and making your own with a special soap is the way to go.

I hope to get these items shortly after Christmas and I will let yall know how it goes. Right now I dread shaving so much I only do it 2x a week.
Hopefully this will make it where I can shave every other day or even every day without horrible irritation

Oops I said I hope to receive them shortly after Christmas, I mean thanksgiving. They are already ordered and I am thinking a week should be enough time for delivery.

I wish I could shave once a week, by that time it would be far too long though. The hair on my neck does not grow as thick as it does on the rest of my face, so it really does not look very good if I let it grow out.

Oh yeah, and you both suck

You shave once a week!? I shave 3x and it'd be 5x but I dont have time on Tuesdays & Thursdays.

If I only shaved once a week I'd look like a crazy homeless mofo

So I ordered a Rolling razor (www.rollingrazor.com) some blades for sensitive skin and some of the shaving oil.

The sensitive skin blades look exactly the same as the standard blades, even under a magnifier glass. Kinda gay. The rolling razor is really no better than the fushion, mach 3 in terms of quality of the shave but it does irritate the skin a bit less.

Now the oil is awesome! A little goes a long way and you can use shaving cream on top of that. The oil may have been the reason I had less irritation with the rolling razor.

Overall it is a neat razor but not worth the $15. I am giving it along with the 2 packs of extra blades to my brother, I am keeping the oil.

The Double-Edged razor I started this post about arrived in the mail today. I have a badger hair brush, Lathering soap and mug to complete the package.

The razor looks mean as fuck, you could do some SERIOUS damage if you are not paying attention but I think it will provide a much smoother shave.

Going out tonight and shaving before I do. I will try the new razor and post up results, bet yall can"t wait Laughing

So far my only recommendation is the shaving oil. Using that along with a nice shaving cream greatly reduced the irritation I seem to always get on my neck
