I have ended up stick welding almost every time because it is cheap and thats what most of my friends could afford.
I hate stick welders, to me it is like a caveman using crude tools and just are not designed to do a truly professional job.
I got to use a MIG way back in the day for a couple seconds. Dont remember much about it but I do remember it was much better than stick welding _________________ If it weren't for the gutter, my mind would be homeless.

Ive welded a couple of times but not enough to have a preference. The times I did were rude and crude just to get the job done. _________________

We mainly do stick. 7018 1/8" rod. I like stick for vertical up. Wire feed doesn't really do a very good vertical weld, espacially when you need strength in the weld. Mig is fun. Haven't done alot of TIG. Welding tig on aluminum kinda sucks. I could probably weld aluminum better with practice. _________________

today is the frist time i have mig welded in over 5 years and 5 years ago i welded all of 2 things. so i really thought it came out nice. i took the T weld to my teacher and he said "No way you just welded that" so it made me feel pretty good. i still have some stuff to TIG weld ill take some pictures of those. were welding 3003 alum i belive somthin like that. to much stuff to control in TIG. MIG is awesome for being so easy you hook up ground and pull the trigger and bam your welding.
im really suprised at the poll i fiugred all my rejects would like MIG |

never played with a TIG
I have a small 120v MIG that I use CONSTANTLY, and I have a older than dirt Lincoln shop box stick welder that I havent fired up in about 5 years, its clunky, sucks power like obama, and im not as good at as I am MIG, and if its not a real critical weld, I can switch it to innershield, and run the thing cheap.
I have a full Oxy-Acetylene setup that I just got a few months ago, mostly use it to cut, I havent welded with one since my Sophomore year in HS _________________ “The police cannot protect the citizen at this stage of our development, and they cannot even protect themselves in many cases.
