For me, it is about the after taste and the "heavyness" of the high. I like to feel lit, but not couch locked. So I prefer the O.G. Kush and Sour Diesel types. That way I can still handle biz. Mr. Green

I like me a pure sativa every now and then. Nothin beats a good Haze strain, grown to perfection, then smoked slow with a vaporizer. I like to get that "happy high" or the "giddy" high. I don't care much for the couch locked feelin, or becoming a zombie. If I smoke a real heavy indica, I am out. I just can't talk much and space.

That said, there is definately a time and place for the heavy ganj. Late at night, before bed, I don't mind something thats gunna put me out.

Best ones: Nevelles haze, Silver haze, and of course, the Purple Haze. A hard plant to grow (so i've heard.... ) but damn good quality. It has been winning the Cannabis cup something like 8 times in a row or something like that.

You definitely can not go wrong with a quality Haze strain. My buddy got some Silver Haze grown by some hippies up in Copperopolis and that shit was NUTTY. When you looked at it on an angle or from a distance it looked like shiny silver. Tasted awesome as well.

I had a buddy growing a mixed ns/Silver haze and he had branches starting to break, due to the heavy ass resin-y buds. Shit was sticky as hell. Got plenty of "finger hash" during that trim.

I have an old ass hippie lives up north. Grows and makes some of his own. All out door, but still just incredible. He has strains like War Lock, Pineapple, Skunkleberry, and his best is Warlock. Bout to be time for more too ! Stoked !

Hell yeah, that is sweet. Does he use bamboo stakes to help hold up the weight? At one of the Home Depot type stores I have seen stakes as long as 56" IIRC.

Man, I hate the kid who tried to rip off my plants this year. Made us end up pulling them WAY earlier than we wanted / planned. Now every time I get that preemie taste it reminds me of the little thieving bastard. Sure wish I could have caught the prick ass pussy in my yard. The same feller jacked one of our neighbors plants and also got caught on video looking over and climbing on my other neighbors fence. The neighborhood was somewhat decent until that Fag showed up. His mom is a WHORE who has no control on the little shit head. Thieves and liars are 2 types of people I hate the most. He is a poster child for both. Alright, I'm done with the rant.

On a happy note, I just got another ounce of Master Kush bubble hash. I had some when we met up, but didn't end up having time to smoke it. I'll bring some fonky ass hash for sure when we do my lift. It has a nice, smooth, "uppy" high to it.

No, he actually did this odd ass wire set-up to help hold it up. Just used stiff-ish wirse, and weved it through, making little supports and shit. It was wierd, and way too much work, but that guy has nothin but time ! lol

Wow you guys know a lot about weed! ALl I know is that there is the cheap mexican stuff thats like $40 an OZ and then theres the good stuff called "hydro" here and its like $100 a half OZ. In Florida they call the "hydro" crypie.

On a side note I did smoke some weed with this guy by the pool in my building. He had some shit tha was unbelievable. I hit it once out of a small bong and I was stoned bigtime from just one large hit off the bong. Best pot I have ever smoked.

Id like to learn abotu the different types if someone is willign to teach. Maybe post some pics.

I know weed like this...In H.S. you could get $30's(weed with seeds) all day and every now and than dank($60's) would come around. Now all any body sells is 60. The only people with 30's are over the age of 40. WTF

Man, you guys would chit if you came up to NorCal. Our crap goes for about $80 - $100 for a halfer, and some killer would be closer to $100 - $150. Full ones can go for $300 if its some real killer. But we have stuff thats knocks most people around the country on their ass. Northern Cali is the DREAM place for ganja. I love it here. We also have stored that sell it, get whatever you want, from ganja ice cream, to peanut butter, candies, chocolate, ANYTHING !!!

Dave, I am more then willing to explain some of the things to you. I will see what I can dig up. Like I said, this is something I *might* know quite a bit about. There are plenty of us "Herb Nerds" around these parts.

Dave, check out this college we have in Oakland and LA. I will try and help MT out with explaining stuff. Definitely a lot of "herb nerds" around here. There is even a lab in Oakland that picks up samples from the stores and does testing to check THC, CBC and CBN content. They also check for powdery mildew, pests and other contaminants.

I got my start reading the Cannabible and Big Book of Buds. They both have 3 volumes now, and are some good reading. There are 3 main types of cannabis: Sativa, Indica, and Ruderalis. Sativas generally grow long thin buds that take longer to mature but carry the better "head high". There are some Sativa strains that produce a good "yield". Indicas are usually a thick bushy type of plant. The buds are normally more dense and have more of a "body high". They tend to have a shorter flowering period than most Sativas and are common in a lot of "commercial" indoor gardens. Bigger (heavier) buds + less time flowering = MORE $$$ for the grower. A lot of cannabis connoisseurs tend to prefer Sativas. IMO Sativas taste better and have a more enjoyable high. After I smoke Indicas I usually just get sucked into COD4 or other "couch-lock" type activities. After I smoke some Sativa I feel like doing something, not just sit on the couch. The third family, Ruderalis, is kind of rare in these parts and are usually used to cross into other strains. Ruderalis strains are "auto-flowering" plants. Meaning even if you keep the plant in a "vegetation" light cycle it will still flower at a certain point. Sativas and Indicas can be kept indefinitely in a "vegetation" cycle (no less than 12 hours of light). Ruderalis strains are also better suited to grow in cold climates. Ruderalis strains originated in the Eastern Europe and Russia area. I have yet to smoke a pure Ruderalis strain so I can't report on the type of high it gives.
