Graduate school grants hard to get for majority

My daughter is currently a three-year dean's list honor student at Western Michigan University. There are no funds or scholarships to aid her to continue toward a graduate degree.

She carries a double major in criminal justice and psychology. One of her professors would like her to consider completing a master's degree in his program.

How can she? Western Michigan University has almost no funding for honor students who are white. It does not matter that I have been a poor single mother who raised three children on my own for the past 17 years. My son is an Army combat engineer serving his country this very minute in the United States military.

I only seek to comprehend and understand the complex features of reverse discrimination in a culture that is supposed to be so ethnically diverse.

The Kalamazoo Promise is only for a select group of students. How about The Promise for all children?

All I request is a straight-forward answer from the new WMU president. Where is the dean's list scholarship money for my daughter?

My daughter does not meet the criteria for much of anything, other than being in debt the rest of her life paying off student loans. Perhaps my blonde-haired, blue-eyed daughter should consider leaving her homeland to seek academic scholarships from universities around the world that might respect her for working hard to make it on her own merit, rather than considering the color of her skin.

Blacks are the same as whites, when it comes to equal rights and all that other B/S. However, when it comes to giving them money, THEN it's OK to discriminate.

This makes my blood boil, literally.
