yeah............they are cash cows AND make intersections MORE dangerous. I'm glad we have them in our town now.

I hope someone that gets rearended at an intersection here in town with one of those cameras sues the city for creating an unsafe environment

Redlight cameras in Az are becoming less, but the speed cameras on the freeways are increasing.

indeed. I guess a lawyer friend of my boss' got one (red light/speeding ticket) in AZ at a criminal defense conference. HE emailed some of the guys that went to the conf and they said ignore it. If the company tries to come after you, THEN try to figure something out

they wont come after him the red light/ speed cameras here are only for residents that they can suspend lic on and harass with bench warrants im surprised they even sent him a notice they see a out of state olat and just toss it normally.

tucson is becoming fucking camera ville USA for tthe size of the city we have I think 12 redlight cams and a dozen speed cams IN TOWN no spped cams on the freeway yet, but they are not dont with the never ending red cone zone that we call I-10 yet

The speed cams are even more bullshit. My buddy who lives in Phoenix got three tickets in one month, and they weren't even because he was speeding, but everytime he was by one of the lights someone sped past him at just the right moment, and the camera got him instead.

This is a great article in the local paper. It's a month old but still.....My town loses $7,500 on the cameras and 2 blocks away they pull 20000+ Laughing

If I'm going to get a radar detector it's going to the the Valentine V1.

The stationary speed cameras I really don't care about since they have two warning signs before you get to them at 1/2 a mile away and 300 feet away.

I found a torrent with all the red light cameras and speed cameras as custom POI's. So I loaded it on my Garmin, and now when I am driving and approaching a red light camera it gives me a warning. Very Happy
