This is kinda old, so some of you true ganj connoisseurs might remember, but figured its worth having in here.

http://www.nowpublic.com/thc_marijuana_helps_cure_cancer_says_harvard_study

Quote:
The only clinical trial testing THC as a treatment against cancer growth was a recently completed British pilot study. For three weeks, researchers injected standard doses of THC into mice that had been implanted with human lung cancer cells, and found that tumors were reduced in size and weight by about 50 percent in treated animals compared to a control group. There was also about a 60 percent reduction in cancer lesions on the lungs in these mice as well as a significant reduction in protein markers associated with cancer progression.

cool !

I wonder if smoking it would yield the same effects especially for lung cancer. Maybe a vaporizer would work?

pretty sure smoking or ingesting, it doesn't matter. Same chemicals get into your system, just different methods !

Well for lung cancer I would think that the carcinogens from smoking it would do some damage.

That sounds a little sketchy.

First line...

Yeah it looks like it was pretty much some government bullshit to scare people. But they had to admit that they had zero evidence.

I bet some guy was just like "hey, what scares the shit out of young males the most so that they won't smoke pot. OH THEIR BALLS."
That's where his fucking "hypothesis" came from.

If you really read into, its total BS. They "found a link" because almost 400 people with nut cancer were asked, and almost all smoked pot.

Thats like the marriage example. I take 400 guys with brain tumors. All are also married men. Therefore marriage = brain tumors.

Laughing

Think about it, its been around thousands of years LONGER then tobacco. We know cigs can kill. No one has died from the ganja. Aint gunna happen.
