Am I allowed to have a gun in my truck on a college campus? Say I go hunting in the morning and then go to class, do I need to go drop it off at my apt first? Or is it illegal to have on in your truck on campus.

you're attending A&M, right?

1) I think TX just made it legal for you to carry concealed to class.
2) Google the laws. I know in NM you have to be 19, but can have whatever gun you want in your vehicle

Yes im attending A&M. I dont think they passed that law yet, it was in the works, but I havnt heard about it passing yet. But it doesnt really matter as you have to be 21 to have a CHL. In texas at 18 you can have whatever in your truck as long as its concealed.

im not afraid of a shootout anywhere, what I do worry about, is a crackhead illegal alien, accosting me or a loved one in between the dennys and my vehicle, and my gun is locked in the glovebox.

I remember in the 90's sometime there was a shootout at a luby's in Killeen, Texas. Like 16 people were shot.

see if PO and his bad ass .45 were in that restrant only one person would have been shot....the guy who tryed to shoot everyone else.

i think people who have a CCW should be able to carry anywere. they act like cops only there right in the middle of shit when it goes down instead of 30 mins away. i dont get why you cant carry into a place with over 12,000 people or w/e i understand the school thing bc of all the shootings and i under stand the work thing. but everywere else i think you should be aloud to carry....why not in church or any place like that???

What do you mean no packing in schools? If teachers at say high schools and stuff and kids/professors at college were all carrying some heat then those shootings wouldn't have gotten very far...

When the shooters go to try and pull out their guns so would everyone else and they would be the ones getting fucked.

and that one shooting, and the woman that had a firearm in her car but not allowed to carry it into Lubys, was the start of the concealed carry movement in this country, which now has "shall issue" carry laws in at least 36 states and "may issue" in another 10
