Saying a certain caliber is better than another is like saying chevy is better than ford...personal perference. For example, a 9mm can perform just as well as a .45 with todays loads.

And with the newbie comment...funny.

ok now that that is out of the way,

even with a +P+ 9mm im sorry but it just dont cut the mustard, 9mm are fast, but I have some .45 that cut down range at a smoking 1450fps (spread average, 14 rnds, through my chrono) they are the same size and shape as a 200gr speer gold dot, but are of a alloy, and fragment and weigh 117 gr the recoverable weight from ballistic gel is 97%

the winchester ranger +P+ 115 gr hits about 1320fps, and the recoverable weight from gel is closer to 93% ( I used this as the example as it offers the best speed and weight retention out of most 9mm +P+, the Hydrashok 124 has better retention, but is far slower) from my point of view, I will take the .45, the 10mm and the .40 which all impart far more impact energy, and make a bigger hole. bigger hole = more bleeding, more bleeding = stopping bad guy faster Wink

BTW the .45 I am referring too is the Agulia 117 gr High power and they feed flawlessly, in every .45 I have ever put them in

pretty much. i know the flying backwards is BS but like PO said bigger hole more bleed and less likey to keep coming you guys really dont learn from fail pictures do you?!!!
