Sounds like the mount is your problem, especially if a $75 mount is upgrading. Laughing

I'd just spend the money now and buy one of these that fit your scope. It'll last a lifetime, hold zero for a lifetime. If it doesn't, it's got an unconditional lifetime warranty.

went to the phoenix gun show and I guess ill be putting together yet another 1911 (oh the horror lol) found a new in the white fusion slide for $50 a little surface rust but nothing a little polishing wont take care of

a stainless mainspring housing with a inset waffle pattern a double edge razor cause i want to try it too and $2 was a good enough deal to not give a shit if I dont like it and a couple of bibs and bobs that I can only get at a gun show

Very Happy

How much would it cost to build a quality 1911?

depends on if you want a single stack or a wide body. this one is going to cst me maybe $550-600 but it is not going to be much more than a very decent and accurate carry pistol

the most expensive one I have built was about $3200 and that was a full race STI 2011 and most of that was the fact STI parts are fucking expensive

it really depends on what configuration you are looking for and any specific parts you want I.E. all clark internals, hy-brid comp, etc if you can tell me if your looking to do a carry, competition, or plinker I can give you a better idea

one more thing If I just wanted to build one to turn a profit on since I got such a deal on the slide I could prolly put this one together for just under $300 using G.I. surplus internals and hardware

essex frame 110$ with tax and transfer

slide was $50

full G.I.completion kit (all parts except frame and slide) 125$

and I could sell it at any local gun show for $650-$750 easily

I want to get an EMP and a 1911 but I don't think I'll build one or go crazy with them. I like my "plastic guns".
