What we shot on Saturday. The camo 12 gauge is mine, Remington 11-87 SuperMag. The AR15 and .22 are my buddies guns. We also had a matte black 12 gauge the same as mine out there. It was a good day of drinking and shooting. Before we left I did some donuts.

It's going to be getting a Daniel Defense or Larue 10" free float quad rail handgaurd, still needs to be purchased. I'll probably experiment with grinding down the FSB since it's much studdier being pinned. I've got a Tango Down Battle Grip with the quick release mount and ladder rail covers both in Dark Earth waiting to go on it. I still don't know if I'm going to mount a light on it, can't decide. Last but not least, after Christmas I'm going to buy an Accog for it. The time being, I'm going to switch the optics to it and use irons on the other rifle. |

Nice, sounds like a fun project. I have started researching into building an AR, but I have a bunch of crap laws to abide by living in Commie-fornia. |

Just give up on it.
Seriously though, you'll PAY for a lower receiver. I bought five of them the night of the election. A store owner decided to stay up until 12 to take orders. I ended up paying $150 for stripped lowers that should of been $130. And yes I'm planning on building that many rifles. Now, they are around $180-230 and backordered. I don't think you can get many choices for lower parts kit, just higher end two stage triggers, which isn't a bad thing, I've got them in both of my rifles. I know complete upper receivers are pretty much completely backordered regardless of brand for about 4-8 weeks. I got the last LMT in any length left from any vendor. I'm guessing the higher end stuff took a little longer to sell out. Not many people can justify paying $600+ for an upper receiver, even if it's exceptional quality. |

That's a steal on those Bushmasters. If you need any help on the AR15, just let me know.
Forgot to mention, magazines. Magpul P-Mags, by far the best magazine for ARs, are sold out nearly. Retail price on them is $16 for non windowed and $19 for windowed. Prices are around $20-25 for non windowed and $30-35 for windowed. A few guys on AR15.com, Craigslist, etc are selling them for like $150 for four plus shipping and getting it !!! I'm glad I've got about 50 assorted in different colors in nonwindowed and windows.
As far as Ruger goes ... The guns aren't bad. I just won't support that spineless bastard who founded the company. 1994 rolled around and the AWB came to the table, the bastard comes out with a statement about how he had never intended for a "simple" citizen to ever have a magazine with more than 10 rounds in it. Did anyone ever wonder why not many Ruger guns made it on that list. The guy was more than an ass-kisser. Spineless. End rant. |

I tend to agree with you and I may just get a suppressor for my taurus sp101 (identical to the baretta 92 )
but I have shot one of these little .22 suppressed pistols and its like gun love at first "piff" |

as for the ar's Ive built a shitloadof 1911's (including but not limited to) para frame kits, Caspian, (single and double stack) safari arms frame (with the finger groove grip) and on and on for family friends and myself (+ a few for profit ) prolly 20-30 over the last 10 years but I think all im a going to do to the ar is a alum forend w/a rail for toys, redo the trigger group and add some kick ass optics I have a ziess 3-9x50 that was on my hunting rifle that may make it on there if not I'm leaning heavily toward the doctor red dot I have shot with them before and as long as your not looking for sub MOA they are fast and good and sturdy my ziess seems to need rezeroed if I dont store it in a hard case or breathe on it too hard (thats why its not on my hunting rifle any more If I can ever get my goddamm camera fixed I'll get the rest of the pics up |

Are you sure it's the Zeiss and not what you're using to mount it that's giving up the zero? |

I used the same mount (dont remember the brand but I think its a old B-square ) with my Bushnell and didnt have the same problems so im pretty sure its just the overpriced POS is being touchy
I might go to the Phoenix gun show this weekend and get a new mount just to be on the safe side (decent quick removal mount 75$ versus a new scope at 700-800$) |
