Right on, but in CA they have had government programs for helping underprivileged people acquire training in the medical field. As a result the quality of people in the field has deteriorated, and M.A.'s (medical assistants) are a dime a dozen. I can't even begin to count how many M.A. students we have had come through our office for their externships and are unable to accurately alphabetize a stack of charts into the wall of charts. Question Not including the numerous M.A.'s that can't even take an accurate blood pressure, or give an injection correctly? Anything below a R.N. or P.A. you are going to be hard pressed to find someone in the field with any sort of brain in their cranial cavity. Insurance companies have a bunch of brain dead morons working for them, too. Unless they are in the U.M. department, there are no educational requirements to be a subscriber services representative. Also, around here a burger flipper at In N Out burger makes an average of $2 more an hour than a M.A., who 95% of the time only make min wage($8/hr). Laughing

Agreed. If you provide opportunity to people, that's one thing, but when you insure that those people will somehow be involved in the "next level" (be it business or college), the rest of the achieving populace gets fucked.

Example: In NM, the state pays for four years of university education at an in-state school if said person has met the following req's: 1) graduated highschool the year prior to entering college; and 2) has a 2.5, and maintains a 2.5 throughout their university career.

That's it. 2.5, and just graduated. Then you get college PAID for. What pisses me off about that is 1) people STILL manage to fuck that shit up; and 2) it means WAY more people get into school. Since there are more people that are only meeting lower standards, then the average "quality" of the student body goes down. That means the basic classes become classes for 'tards, just like they were in highschool.

Stupid schools.
